Kenneth Santucci

It is with deepest regret that the Belleville Police Department announced the passing of police officer Kenneth Santucci who was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident  earlier today while on duty and responding to a call.  Our prayers and thoughts are extended to the entire Santucci family. Ken leaves behind his wife Trica who is expecting their third child in 2 months as well as his two boys ages 2 and 7.

Belleville P.B.A Local 28 would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support that was extended to the Belleville Police Department and Kenny's family.

A special thanks to Nutley PD, Newark PD, Essex County Sheriffs Department  and the Belleville Fire Department, as well as all the many other agency's that assisted in our time of need.

Officer Kenny Santucci Night -
   This event will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2008 - 2:00pm to 10:00pm
It will be held at the Stone Horse Taverne and Grille (formally the Zig Zag)
at 382 - 384 Belleville Ave - Belleville NJ 07109 (973) 844 0440.

   There will be raffles for gift certificates and gift baskets and much
more at this event. There will be face painting - beer truck - drink specials and a DJ -
All proceeds to go to Officer Santucci's Family

Belleville Police department was formed on January 16, 1907. The P.B.A Local 28 was founded and instituted May 4, 1911 and issued Charter September 22, 1915. Past and present members of the Belleville Police Department have been severing Belleville, Essex County, New Jersey since 1839.

The Belleville P.B.A. and its membership look forward to serving the community of the Township of Belleville in the future and thank all the residents and businesses who make our activities possible through their generous support. Our new mailing address is:

If you have received  a phone call from a solicitor requesting donations on behalf of the Belleville P.B.A it is a FAKE. The Belleville P.B.A DOES NOT solicit donations via the phone. If you receive a phone call of this nature HANG UP, DO NOT give them any money or personal information.
